Chi Omega Recruiting Campaign

Defining Meaningful Affiliation For One of the Largest Women’s Social Organizations

With more than 390,000 active members and alumnae, Chi Omega is one of the largest women’s fraternal organizations in the world, providing new initiates and alumnae with a lifelong support system and unparalleled opportunities for personal development. For more than 125 years, Chi Omega’s mission to cultivate a lifetime of purpose and provide support for one another has remained steadfastly unchanged. Meanwhile, with nearly 200 collegiate chapters across the U.S. recruiting tens of thousands of prospective new members each year, the shift to a digitally centered world in recent decades has completely changed how people engage and connect with one another. Chi Omega’s means of conveying its message and articulating its relevance needed a fresh approach to capture the hearts and minds of these young women.

Approach

Genuine Article spearheaded a recruitment campaign designed to inspire, invoke, and excite Generation Z collegians. The multifaceted approach included videos, social content, and graphic elements, all built upon the theme: “Fully Chi O,” a message that captures the deep commitment members have toward each other and Chi Omega’s mission to create positive change. The effort — launched in the months leading up to and during the formal recruitment weeks for Chi Omega’s 181 collegiate chapters — sought to instill in prospects that Chi Omega is more than just a social club, it’s a network of diverse individuals who are actively pursuing goals and are always there for one another when it matters most.
